4-Methoxyanilinium bromide

The title compound, C(7)H(10)NO(+)·Br(-), consists of almost planar 4-methoxy-anilinium cations, wherein the O atom lies 0.049 (3) Å out of the plane formed by the non-H atoms, and a Br(-) anion. Strong N-H⋯Br and N-H⋯(Br,Br) hydrogen bonding contributes to the stability of the crystal structure and links the cations and anions into a three-dimensional network.

Bis{(E)-3-[(diethylmethylammonio)methyl]-N-[3-(N,N-dimethylsulfamoyl)-1-methylpyridin-4-ylidene]-4-methoxyanilinium} tetraiodide pentahydrate

The title compound, 2C(21)H(34)N(4)O(3)S(2+)·4I(-)·5H(2)O, was prepared exclusively as the E isomer by methyl-ation of the corresponding N-phenyl-pyridin-4-amine. There are two symmetry-independent mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit with no significant differences in bond lengths and angles. The aromatic rings are not coplanar with the pyridin-4-imine groups, as indicated by the C-N-C-C torsion ...

5-Chloro-2-methoxyanilinium nitrate

The title salt, C(7)H(9)ClNO(+)·NO(3) (-), exhibits extensive hydrogen bonding between the ammonium functional group and the nitrate anion. A two-dimensional network of bifurcated N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generates corrugated layers in the bc plane. The organic mol-ecules are stacked in a parallel orientation as a result of π-π inter-actions, with an inter-ring distance of 3.837 Å.

The Cap1-claudin-4 regulatory pathway is important for renal chloride reabsorption and blood pressure regulation.

The paracellular pathway through the tight junction provides an important route for transepithelial chloride reabsorption in the kidney, which regulates extracellular salt content and blood pressure. Defects in paracellular chloride reabsorption may in theory cause deregulation of blood pressure. However, there is no evidence to prove this theory or to demonstrate the in vivo role of the parace...

Potentiation of nerve block in vivo by physiological adjuvants in the solution.

One hundred and seventy-four rats received a standardized 0.4-ml injection into the left infraorbital nerve and all solutions contained lignocaine 0.25 g dl-1. In groups 1-4, the solutions were isoosmotic and contained, besides sodium chloride, potassium chloride 0 or 4 mmol litre-1 and glucose 0 or 20 mmol litre-1 (0 or 360 g dl-1). For groups 5-8, the solutions were hypoosmotic, containing so...
